Smithfield pork company which is the largest producer of pork, in the United States, and also the third largest in the world, was bought out in 2014 by a group called WH group. This transaction was $4.7 billion. And the WH group, formerly known as Shuanghui Group, bought it for a 30% premium. It took Chinabank one day to approve this loan and Chinabank is ran by the Chinese government.
