Lean all the rules of Photography so that you can break them later on.  Photography rules are essential because they provide a foundation for which to find your niche as well as a foundation to expand your skill set into a more advanced level of photography.  Learn the rules first, so that you have more creative control when breaking them.  Learn as you go – don’t let it prevent you from picking up a camera.  Mistakes are how you improve yourself.
